  • How do I use Help A Bike Shop?
You can list a product line, a single item, everything on your clearance table (someone wants that pink saddle!).  Any item gets eyes on your shop.  If a cyclist wants an item, they contact the bike shop directly and you complete your transaction.  No middle man, no fees.  Read our complete guide here.

  • How much does Help A Bike Shop cost?
HABS is free to both Bike Shops and Cyclists.  HABS takes no fees from any transactions that occur as a result of the HABS Report.
  • What if I don't have an online store?
Cyclists can still call you and order over the phone (people do talk)!  Take their payment and drop the item in the mail.  This is not legal advice, but just the way I would do it.
  • What about Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) restrictions?
If you have MAP restrictions, list your sale price as $99999.  Cyclists will know that this means your price is at least 25% below MSRP (HABS will tell them).
  • How many items can I advertise?

Advertise as many as you can type.  As long as the price is 20% below MSRP, you can list your entire inventory.

  • Where do I post items on sale?
When you initially register, you can post one item along with your registration.  After you are confirmed, just log into HABS from the homepage and click "Post a Promotional Item" at the top of the page.

  • What is Help A Bike Shop?
Help A Bike Shop is a service where local bike shops can list their overstocks and promotions, overcoming their small budgets.  Shops move their inventory, cyclists get deals. Everyone wins!
  • How do I use Help A Bike Shop?
You will receive a periodic HABS Report that lists products currently on sale by our member bike shops.  If you see an item you want, contact the bike shop listed in the HABS Report and buy it!  That's it.  No middle man, no fees.
  • Where do I buy the listed items?
The HABS Report will include contact information with each listed item.  Might be a website, but at a minimum there will be a phone number.  Contact the shop and buy the item.
  • How much does Help A Bike Shop cost?

HABS is free to both Bike Shops and Cyclists.  HABS takes no fees from any transactions that occur as a result of the HABS Report.

  •   How do I know these are real bikeshops?

HABS only accepts listings from bike shops with "@bikeshopdomain.com" email addresses.  We also will verify the shops against the National Bicycle Dealers Association directory.

  • What does a sale price of $99999 mean?
$99,999 bike is awfully expensive.  Bike shops may have to comply with restrictions on minimum advertised pricing and cannot list the bike shop price because it is too low.  If you see $99999, the price is at least 20% off MSRP, but cannot be directly advertised.  Contact the shop directly to get pricing.
